Discusses a wall painting of the Three Marys at the Sepulchre on the east wall of the nave at S. Mary's, Kempley (ca.1130s). Argues that this depicts a commemorative Easter rite/liturgical drama described in the 10th c. Regularis Concordia. Posits the existence of a Medieval sculptured crucifix which was the focal point of the mural scheme.
