Discovery of a letter (1497) concerning the glazier Bernard Flower confirms that the practice of appointing craftsmen by letters patent continued under Henry VII. It further bears out speculation that Flower worked at the Palace of Sheen in the later 1490s and may have been patronised by Bishop Fox.
