Abstract (en)

Draws attention to correspondences between the 11 majolica pieces from the Orsini-Colonna service in the Hermitage (Leningrad) and shards recovered from excavations behind the house of Orazio Pompei in Castelli, as well as the 16th c. ceramic tiles of the ceiling of S. Donato, Castelli. Concludes that the entire group is attributable to the Pompei workshop in Castelli.
