Exhibition of 145 objects provides a pictorial and architectural context for a pair of pictures painted by Robert in 1787: The Demolition of Houses on the Bridge of Notre-Dame in Paris 1786 (Karlsruhe, Staatliche Kunsthalle) and The Demolition of Houses on the Pont au Change in Paris 1787 (Munich, Bayerische Staatsgemäldesammlungen). The Bridge of Notre-Dame was built 1500-1512; the Pont au Change 1639-1647.
