Inaugural exhibition of the Howard D. and Babette L. Sirak collection, 78 works (mostly paintings as well as a few drawings and sculptures) by 37 artists, which was acquired in 1991 by the Columbus Museum of Art. Catalogue contains a statement by the collectors, and two essays dealing with aspects of the Sirak collection: Brettell on French painting and the European vanguard; Selz on German expressionism in the context of the European avant-garde.
