Presents landscape views and works inspired by the New Zealand landscape (paintings, photographs, topographical watercolors), 1850s-1980s, by 16 New Zealand artists, ranging from John Kinder and George O'Brien to Colin McCahon and Ruth Watson. Catalogue essay by Eldredge provides an historical overview of the period, and highlights parallels with pictorial traditions in the United States and other former British colonies.
