Discusses a manuscript leaf depicting a Woman Helped into a Gondola (East Lansing, Kresge Art Museum), by the late 19th c. painter known as the Spanish Forger. Briefly describes the artist's practice of reusing Medieval manuscript leaves as supports for his forgeries, and notes that he seems to have based the Kresge miniature on an illustration from Paul Lacroix's Sciences et lettres au moyen âge et à l'époque de la renaissance, 1877.
