Survey exhibition organized in cooperation with the Bahrušin State Central Theater Museum, Moscow, which lent the majority of set and costume designs exhibited. Ten catalogue essays discuss aspects of Russian avant-garde theater, scenography, and dance in the pre- and post-revolutionary years, highlighting the involvement of prominent artists in Russian theater, the role of Constructivism in Russian dance and stage design, and the life and collecting activities of Aleksej Aleksandrovič Bahrušin, founder of the theatrical museum in Moscow which bears his name.
