The exhibition, guest curated by Thomas Fels with the aid of Karen Sinsheimer, presents the works of 57 Soviet photographers working in the pre-dawn of glasnost, 1970-1987. Reflecting a range of styles and subjects, these photographs provide a rare view of life and art in Latvia and some of the other Soviet republics. Brief introduction by Glen R. Serbin serves as the catalogue text.
