Examines a group of five life-size statues, which suggest an iconographic program dedicated to the Christofores (Aaron, New York, Metropolitan Museum of Art; Moses, New York, Cloisters; Prophet, Lugano, Thyssen-Bornemisza collection; S. John the Baptist, Durham, Duke University Museum of Art; Madonna and Child, Noyon, cathedral, Dépot Lapidaire), ca.1170, and posits that they originally decorated the south transept portal of the cathedral of Notre-Dame, Noyon.
