The idea of a Glendalough crozier stems from a confusion by a 19th c. archaeologist; the only known Limoges croziers from Ireland are the Cashel and S. Mel's examples (13th c., Dublin, National Museum of Ireland; Ardagh, S. Mel's Diocesan Museum).
