History of the tuna fishing port of Cinisi, from its founding in 1344 to its decline in the 17th c. Focuses on the administration of the industry under the Benedictines of the Monastero di San Martino delle Scale, holders of the fief of Cinisi, and on the architecture and fortifications of the port built by the Benedictines in the 15th-17th cs. Appendix with documents, 1344-1569.
