Discusses the iconography of a silver medal, probably German, ca.1700 (Stockholm, Royal Mint Cabinet). Notes that the obverse depicts the allegorical figure of Occasio, the goddess of opportunity with the text "Reverenter habe." Shows that Occasio, once clearly distinguished from Fortune, was developed by Renaissance and Baroque artists into a mixed Occasio-Fortuna type. The reverse shows a pair of compasses with the word "Misurati." Believes that the medal is a gambling counter.
