Publishes for the first time documents which reveal a detailed picture of the vast numbers of works removed from Germany by the Trophy Commission of the Red Army after World War II, and stored in secret depositories in the Soviet Union. Discusses political issues involved in the repatriation of these works, and cites the divided opinions of members of the Soviet art establishment.
