Abstract (en)

Examines a group of anonymous coins found at Montebamboli and identified as Lombard in the Medagliere of the Museo Archeologico, Florence. Draws attention to the problem of distinguishing Lombard coins from the production of the more solidly established mints outside the Po Valley that operated under Byzantine authority.
