Abstract (en)

Examines the history of Georgia O'Keeffe's critical reception, emphasizing the biases and themes that have dominated such criticism from the outset. Argues that O'Keeffe has never received her critical due for the achievement of her popular and feminist art, concluding that it is time that her work be taken seriously.
