Comments on the recent exhibition, Blueprints for modern living: history and legacy of the case study houses, Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles. A retrospective of the Case Study House Program of 1945-1966, catalyzed by John Entenza, editor of the magazine Arts & Architecture, the exhibition recalled a post-World War II moment when architectural innovation and new technologies promised affordable dream houses to the Los Angeles suburban middle class.
