Abstract (en)

Excavations revealed area underlying church was in use before 12th c., possibly as a church. Revealed that while existing 13th c. chancel was stone, a 12th c. timber-framed nave continued in use until 14th or 15th c. Present nave is 14th or 15th c. with later modifications. Evidence of medieval bell founding into the 14th or 15th cs. Finds include pottery, ca.12th to 17th cs.
