Abstract (en)
Suggests that a Portrait of a Woman attributed to Giovanni Antonio Boltraffio (Chatsworth, Devonshire Collection) may be the painting once owned by Charles I and thought by him and Inigo Jones to be a Leonardo--possibly a portrait of Ginevra Benci. Refers to Rudolf Wittkower's article "Inigo Jones--'puritanissimo fiero' " (Burlington magazine, 1948, 90).
