Pejic discusses the oeuvre and the cultural and artistic concerns of the German-born artist Jochen Gerz, citing outdoor actions, books, photo-text works, performances, installations, and public works, 1968-1990. Rosen describes two monuments by Gerz in Germany: Mahnmal gegen Faschismus (Monument against Fascism), Hamburg, 1986; 1958 Steine-Mahnmal gegen Rassismus (1,958 stones--a monument against racism), Saarbrücken, 1991-1993. Gerz's project, Your.Art.Is., appears on pages 79-82.
