Abstract (en)
Discusses a drawing by Michelangelo in the Fogg Art Museum (Cambridge) with a Goldsmith's Design on the recto and a Study for a Sarcophagus on the verso. Argues that the sheet includes studies for an unrealized Medici tomb project of ca.1520 (Florence, S. Lorenzo, New Sacristy) which had pagan, mythological iconography.
