Exhibition presents computer-generated diagrams of the electronic pathways that make up integrated circuits, 1974-1989. These complex patterns are ultimately etched into silicon to form microchips, which are used in computers. Catalogue essay discusses the microelectronics industry and the nature of integrated circuits, highlighting the aesthetic appeal of microchip design. Concludes that these diagrams represent a sophisticated form of industrial design.
