Celebrates the acquisition of two paintings, two watercolors, a group of drawings, and a 1952 sketchbook by Avery, all recently acquired by the museum through purchase and by gifts from the artist's widow and daughter. Features an essay by Marla Price, Avery in the fifties, and fully reproduces the 1952 sketchbook, which documents the French portion of Avery's only trip to Europe.
