Reconstruction of the collective exhibition organized by the Sociedad de pintores y escultores at the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes (the former Academia de San Carlos) in Mexico City in 1910, as part of the celebration of the centenary of Mexican independence. The catalogue includes essays on the centenary, on aspects of Mexican art at the turn of the century (drawing from plaster casts and from life; genre, history, and landscape painting; portraits), and on the 1910 exhibition.
