Surveys the history of the Grassi and Manin families in Chioggia and their patronage of architecture. Provides a detailed account of the building history of the monastery and church of the Filippini, commissioned by Lodovico Alvise Manin, and designed by Temanza, 1754-55; presents drawings and documentary evidence.
