In relation to the 12th c. fresco of the Trinity in the Santuario della SS. Trinità on Monte Autore, in which the Trinity is represented as three equal male figures, reexamines Medieval iconographic typologies representing Father, Son, and Holy Ghost in human form. Examples include manuscript illuminations as well as frescoes and sculpture, 4th-14th cs.
