Abstract (en)

Cites two examples of English brasses whose heraldic imagery reflects the political misfortunes suffered by the memorialized person. These are the brasses of William Cressy (d.1559) in S. Nicholas, Harpenden, and of William de Tonge (d.1389) in All Hallows, Barking.
