Abstract (en)
Identifies a red chalk drawing of two turbaned men in the National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne, tentatively attributed to Guercino, as a sheet of studies by Guercino for the figure of Ahasuerus in the painting, Esther before Ahasuerus, 1639 (Ann Arbor, University of Michigan Museum); and relates it to a group of other studies for the same figure.
