Abstract (en)

Publishes a group of hand-drawn and colored embroidery patterns recently discovered in the Universitäts- und Stadtbibliothek, Cologne. Identifies them as designs (ca.1850) for a carpet for the choir of Cologne cathedral. Attributes the drawings to Michael Welter or perhaps Anton Ramboux. Offers a reconstruction of the carpet.
