Abstract (en)

Recounts the story of the defeat and death of Manfred, king of Naples and Sicily, in 1266, and suggests that he may have been buried near Castel Manfrino, in the mountains between Teramo and Ascoli Piceno. Describes the 13th c. castle, now in ruins, and its Medieval ceramic finds, possibly from Castelli.
