Describes the 12th c. bronze handwashing bowl incised with female personifications of the Virtues, imported perhaps from Germany and turned into a hanging bowl by a 12th c. Irish craftsman. (Found near Charlemont, County Armagh; now in the Ulster Museum, Belfast).
