Discusses the role of 20th c. aviation and aeronautical technology in altering perceptions of space, in particular in shifting the primary viewing position from vertical to horizontal. Comments on the architecture of Le Corbusier, the films of Sergej Eisenstein and the suprematist writings of Malevich in the context of these changes.
