Abstract (en)

Draws attention to some recently discovered works by Wals (1620s-1630s) and his pupil, Claude (1630s). Focuses especially on Wals's A Country Road by a House (Fort Worth, Kimbell) and a pair of paintings in a private collection, River Landscape and Landscape with Castle (private collection). Then discusses three Claude works--a painted Rocky Landscape with Huntsmen (private collection) and two figure drawings (Berlin, Kupferstichkabinett).
