Surveys the state of research on the 13th c. Romanesque church of S. Georg at the former Benedictine abbey of Ják. Includes sections on the following: the present condition of the structure (surviving original parts, alterations, and restorations); various restoration campaigns, particularly the one carried out 1896-1904 by Frigyes Schulek; documents relating to the history of the church, 15th-19th cs.; 13th c. documents bearing indirectly on the church.
