Discusses the emergence of a flourishing art scene in South Korea and comments on two recent exhibitions of contemporary art in Seoul: the Seoul Art Festival, which consisted of specially made works using Hanji (handmade mulberry paper) by 60 well-known Western artists; View of youth: suggestion of tomorrow, at the Seoul Art Center, which presented the work of 50 young Korean artists.
