A recent traveling exhibition, Jean-Pierre Raynaud, containing ca.30 works made between 1962 and 1990, prompts this examination of the career, oeuvre, and thematic concerns of this French artist. Describes some of Raynaud's sculptural objects and installations, and explores the personal meaning of his imagery. The exhibition, curated by Alfred Pacquement, opened at the Menil Foundation, Houston (25 Jan-10 Mar 1991), and traveled to Chicago and Montreal.
