Reviews plans to reorganize Berlin's six archaeological collections (i.e., the Prehistoric/Primitive, Near Eastern, Egyptian, Ancient, Early Christian/Byzantine, and Islamic collections), which will be housed in the Altes Museum, the Neues Museum, and the Pergamonmuseum. Discusses the effects of these plans on the reorganization of other collections within the Staatliche Museen Preussischer Kulturbesitz.
