Abstract
(en)
Examines aspects of Leonardo's creativity, addressing the range of his mythmaking mode of activity, which affected both art and technology. Draws attention to his antihumanist roots; discusses the following individual works: the S. Jerome (Rome, Pinacoteca vaticana); Adoration of the Magi (Florence, Uffizi); and the Virgin of the Rocks, S. John the Baptist, and Mona Lisa (all Paris, Louvre); and analyzes his studies of warfare, technology, geometry and the human figure, and grotesques; also focuses on references to Leonardo in Raphael's School of Athens (Rome, Vatican, Stanza della Segnatura); and the dialoguism of humanism and anti-humanism.
