Catalogue published in conjunction with an exhibition devoted to van Gogh's activity in The Hague, 1881-1883. Discusses his views of the city, his depictions of daily life, his position in the art world of The Hague, and the posthumous exhibition of his work at the Haagsche Kunstkring in 1892. Includes in appendices lists of the drawings commissioned in 1882 by his uncle Cornelis Marinus van Gogh, and city plans showing the locations depicted in van Gogh's works.
