Abstract (en)

Deals with a 15th c. book probably written by Francesco Colonna, Hypnerotomachia Poliphili, which is a story about a young man's struggle for and dreams of his love, Polia. The fame of the book is mainly based on the circumstantial descriptions of architecture and gardens. The book has had an influence on garden architecture since the Renaissance.
