Establishes that there were two movie theaters in via in Lucina, Rome, in the early 20th c.: the Cafè-Concert (1902) and the Cinema Nuovo Olimpia (1913). Traces the early history of the Cafè-Concert in light of documentary evidence and recently rediscovered architectural drawings by the firm of Natale Guerrini (Rome, Archivio storico Capitolino) illustrating a project for converting a skating rink in what was originally the Chigi stables into the "Cafè-Concert Olympia".
