Draws attention to the irony of the Europalia exhibitions (in Brussels and other Belgian cities, fall 1991) recovering and presenting the culture of Portugal at a time when the Portuguese government's cultural policy involves closing museums, theaters, and opera houses, making the cultural heritage inaccessible to the public within Portugal.
