Abstract (en)

Issue celebrates the 40th anniversary of the founding of the photography journal, Aperture. Includes one photograph by 70 photographers published in Aperture since 1952, and a brief text by each of those artists. Also contains photographer Robert Adams's interview with Michael E. Hoffman, publisher and editor of Aperture since the 1960s, in which Hoffman speaks about the early days of the journal and the journal's development. A brief obituary-tribute to Barbara Morgan concludes the issue.
