Discusses the painted decoration and polychromy of S. Franciscus Xaverius, also known as "de Krijtberg", in Amsterdam. A substantial part of the church was decorated after designs by F.W. Mengelberg in 1892-1893; the remaining part was carried out by the firm of his son Hans in 1927-1928.
