On the parade, tournament, and fictive battle organized by Alfonso V of Aragon in Naples in the spring of 1423; the carri included a colossal wooden elephant bearing a castle with angels singing and playing. Relates the occasion to Medieval Spanish religious festivals, and argues that the entry of 1420 and the parade of 1423 foreshadowed Alfonso's triumphal entry of 1443, which was not inspired by Italian humanists, but in turn inspired Florentine festivals.
