Publishes the text of a manuscript (Lisbon, Biblioteca Nacional, MS PBA 484) relating the visit of John V to Tomar in 1714, written by Gaspar Leitão da Fonseca. Notes the importance of the description of the Convento de Cristo, which reveals that the windows of the Charola contained stained glass scenes of the Passion.
