On the hospital founded in Lisbon in 1492 by João II and destroyed in the earthquake of 1755. Catalogue contains essays by Ana Cristina Leite on the history of the hospital; by Irisalva Moita on the excavations of 1960, by Rafael Moreira on João II and Italian architecture; by Paulo Pereira on the Manueline facade of the hospital; and by Irisalva Moita on its organization and services. Works shown include views of the hospital and its church, fragments of its architectural decoration, an architectural model reconstructing the complex, documentation of the excavations, and ceramics of the 17th-18th cs. from the hospital.
