Identifies a variety of Tree of Life glassware produced ca.1877-1890 by the Hobbs, Brockunier Company of Wheeling, WV. Points out that Tree of Life is not a pattern in itself, but a surface effect used on numerous pressed glass patterns to imitate the surface of overshot blown ware.
