Examines the motivation and activities of the international art groups in the 1950s and 60s: the International Lettrists, founded in 1952, and the International Situationists, founded in 1957. Central figures and groups mentioned include the Danish group Høst, Cobra, the Spur group from Munich, Asger Jorn, Guy Debord and artists Constant and Prem.
