Account of the careers of Robert (1710-81) and Charles (1711-69) Dingley, British businessmen in the Russian trade. As a member of the Royal Society from 1756 Robert espoused a public art academy and proposed prizes for modelling. He was also a collector of prints and drawings, and an amateur engraver and architectural draftsman.
